Mt. San Jacinto from Above, 2017

125.00 $ 100.00 $

I sleep on planes. I’m usually unconscious moments after takeoff, if not before, and I usually wake to someone shaking me and telling me to disembark the plane. Whatever the reason may have been, I remember waking up at the right time to see Mt. San Jacinto passing by below as the plane made its approach to Los Angeles Airport. I was somehow conscious enough to grab my camera and make two images before the mountain became too difficult to see. There was a lot of thick atmospheric haze that clouded the image, so a generous amount of contrast had to be added to bring out sufficient detail. Whenever I see this image I get a desire to try aerial photography.
